Find Happiness First

I’ve been searching for some great links on the web that would help my readers.  The first one here has hit the nail on the head and I bet a lot of us have fallen into this vicious circle.  We continually, as a whole, think that once we get that perfect job or that extra money that everything will just be fine as rain.  And if by some chance you are able to lock down that perfect job, while still being miserable… you are still gonna be miserable.  It’s nasty, I know.

But how does one do that?  That’s $100,000 question.

Let me tell you, it’s simple… “Like Attracts Like”  We all have literally hundreds of things that weigh us down everyday, the key is to rise above these things.  Just know they are only things, and things cannot hurt you. Only you can hurt you.  I imagine that you are thinking that doesn’t make any sense.  Well think about this,  who is giving these “things” power?

…Still thinking?   You are giving them power.  And only you.  You can and do have the power to turn these things off.  A good friend of mine once let me in on a great quote:

“Live in the now. There is no fear in the present.”

I thought about this for a long time because I didn’t understand it.  Weeks actually, and finally discovered that this is absolutely the truth.  Nothing can hurt me if I do not empower it. By dwelling on that bill you can’t afford, you are empowering it and therefore attracting more of this type of behavior into your life.  Start dwelling on what makes you happy and thus you will attract more happiness!

So if “Like Attracts Like”  what do you want to attract?

Keys to Attracting what you want:

  • Smile even if you don’t feel like it, fake it.  You will actually start to feel better. Plus you’ll attract smiles from other people which always makes us feel good.
  • And don’t be afraid to go after opportunities.  Everyday we are presented with these, from big to small, and who knows what they will blossom into.
  • Try to separate yourself  from negative people.  They can only pull you back into the world you are trying to vacate.
  • Stay focused on what it is that you want.  Say it out loud and keep that picture in your mind.
